Andy and I were on a Bellringing Outing, more than thirty years ago, which included St Mary's Church, Stansted Mountfitchet.

In the belfry was a board which caught our eye because it mentioned Sir Stephen Langdon, of Quinton, Northampton.

There is also a monument with the same wording on the outside of the tower.
